Prince George's County Schools Closed Tuesday
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Due to a forecast of heavy snow, Prince George's County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday.
PGCPS said it will operate under "Code Red" conditions, with all offices closed for students and staff.
Heavy snow is expected to roll into the area by mid-morning, extending through the afternoon. Between 3 and 7 inches of snow is expected, and a Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Fort Meade was closed, with only essential employees asked to report.
Most other local school systems including those in Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Montgomery Counties were also closed.
