Guiding Eyes Puppy Training

Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a nonprofit organization that serves the Bay Region by raising puppies as future guide dogs, is holding volunteer training classes on the first and third Thursday nights of each month in Bowie. Volunteers are needed to provide the love, support and direction these puppies need to prepare them for their formal training as guide dogs. Volunteer raisers can be as young as 13 with parental supervision, and will take puppies into their homes for 14-18 months to teach them manners and social skills. Contact Regional Manager Carrie Barnett to find out more about raising a future guide dog or for possible schedule changes.
