Bowie Schools Participate in Countywide ‘Clean Up, Green Up’

Benjamin Tasker and Whitehall Elementary are expecting more than 50 volunteers at their events.

Come Sunday morning, five Bowie schools will look a little cleaner and a little greener, thanks to a collaboration between Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) and Keep Prince George’s County Green.

Benjamin Tasker Middle School, Northview Elementary School, Pointer Ridge Elementary School, Samuel Ogle Middle School and Whitehall Elementary School are five of the 60 PGCPS participating in the countywide Clean Up, Green up initiative, according to a press release.

A total of 200 sites including the schools will participate in the event by taking parting in activities like clean-ups, landscaping and tree, bulb and shrub plantings as part of a shared commitment to keep the Prince George’s County beautiful, states the release.

Benjamin Tasker and Whitehall Elementary are expecting more than 50 volunteers at their Clean Up, Green Up activities. There’s still time to volunteer.  Contact your local school to get involved.
