Bowie Falls to South River in State Soccer Semifinals

The Seahawks girls soccer team shut out the Bulldogs, 4-0.

The Bowie High Bulldogs girls soccer team ended their mostly successful season Saturday afternoon when they fell 4-0 to South River in the 4A state semifinals, reported the Gazette.

South River dominated the game at Richard Montgomery High, making 22 shot attempts, keeping the Bulldogs on their toes and ultimately wearing them down, Bowie coach Aaroan Hankey told the Gazette.

“We just got beat,” Hankey said to the Gazette. “The girls were quicker and seemed like they were in better shape.”

The Seahawks were led to victory by Kacie Longo, who scored three of the team's four goals, according to the Gazette.
