Bowie Academic Honors: Bowie State Dean's List, Randolph-Macon Honor Roll

The following academic honors and degrees were recently earned by students from Bowie (as reported by their schools and family members):

Emerson College: Rachel Green of Bowie was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. To make the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.7 or higher.

St. Joseph's University: Kathleen O'Meara earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2012 semester. To earn Dean's List honors, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or highter. O'Meara is majoring in History.

Bowie State University: The following Bowie area students were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. To make the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Grantham University: Jesus Gutierrez of Bowie earned a Master of Science-Information Technology, cum laude, in January 2013.

Randolph-Macon Academy: The following Bowie area students made the honor roll for the second quarter of the 2012-2013 school year. 

• Nkeng N Morfaw, the son of Emmy and Nick Morfaw of Bowie, was named to the Principal's List. Nkeng is an eighth grade student at Randolph-Macon.
• Cozette Boakye, the daughter of Anthony and Henrietta Boakye of Mitchellville, was named to the Dean's List. Cozette is a senior at Randolph-Macon.
• Enyonam Odoom, the daughter of Loreen and Francis Odoom of Mitchellville, was named to the Dean's List. MissE is a senior at Randolph-Macon.

Students named to the President's List must earn a GPA of 4.0 or higher for the quarter. Students named to the Principal's List or Dean's List must earn between a 3.3 and 3.99 GPA for the quarter.

Washington University in St. Louis: Yasmin Serwaa Boakye of Mitchellville was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

St. Augustine's University: Sequoia Diggs, of Bowie and Marc Lewis, of Mitchellville have both been admitted to the university for the fall semester. 

Rochester Institute of Technology: Jacqueline Schiff of Bowie, a second-year student, has made the Dean's List for the winter 2013 quarter. 

Savannah College of Art and Design: The following Bowie area students have made the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester.
