Bowie Academic Honors: Frostburg State Graduates, Mount St. Mary's Dean's List

The following academic honors and degrees were recently earned by students from Bowie (as reported by their schools and family members):

Lebanon Valley College: Bethany Mary, a junior health science major and graduate of Bowie High School, was named to the fall 2012 Dean's List. Students on the Dean's List must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 or higher. 

Mount St. Mary's University: The following local students made the fall 2012 Dean's List. 

• James Bigony, a senior, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Bigony
• Jacqueline Corley, a junior and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Corley

McDaniel College: Elizabeth M. O'Meara of Bowie has been named to the Dean's List with honors for the fall 2012 semester. Students on the Dean's List with honors must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Frostburg State University: The following students from the Bowie area were named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester. Students on the Dean's list must maintain a GPA of 3.4 or higher.

Grove City College: The following students from Bowie were named to the Dean's List with Distinction for the fall 2012 semester. Students on the Dean's List with Distinction must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

• Liesl McClintock, a freshman communication studies major and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McClintock (DeAnna)
• Sam York, a freshman music education major  son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald York (Susan)

Cornell College: Linchuan Zhang of Bowie was named to the Deans List with Honors for the fall 2012 semester. To be named to the Dean's List with Honors, students must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher. 

Plymouth State University: Kyle Brumfield of Bowie was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Greensboro College: Elizabeth Albinson of Bowie was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Notre Dame of Maryland: Mona Bhatt and Jasmine Green, both of Bowie, were named to the fall 2012 Dean's List for earning a minimum 3.5 GPA.
