Advance Auto Parts Now Open in Collington Plaza

Bowie mechanics and Car Talk radio fans have reason to rejoice as Monday marked the grand opening of the second Advance Auto Parts in the city. 

The new store is located in Collington Plaza at 3409 Crain Highway, next to Walmart. For those unfamiliar with the store, Advance Auto Parts offers aftermarket auto parts, batteries and maintenance items for both do-it-yourself projects and professional car mechanics.

In addition to supplying Bowie car enthusiasts with all of their automotive needs, the store will also offer numerous free services to customers. Advance Auto Parts team members will install windshield wipers for free and will install new batteries for free after a complimentary check of the old battery and electrical systems.

Also, local commercial customers will be offered free shipping on orders and customers can also drop off used motor oil and old batteries at the store for recycling, according to a press release.

The store is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Advance Auto Parts has a second location in Bowie on Race Track Road, and another store on Route 3 in Crofton.
