Update: Weather Concerns Cancel County Budget Hearing Tonight

Prince George's County residents can share their views on budget priorities at a hearing Feb. 12 in Laurel.

The second of three public budget hearings led by Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III to give an overview of the proposed FY 2015 county budget -- which was set for tonight -- has been canceled because of the weather.

Baker's office sent out an email about the cancelation at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Residents are encouraged to attend the next budget hearing scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2014. The budget hearing is an opportunity for residents to voice their feedback and recommendations for consideration and incorporation into the overall budget.

Residents can give feedback and recommendations for consideration and incorporation into the overall budget during the public hearings, according to a county news release.

Anyone interested in testifying should pre-register by calling (301)952-4547 or go online and register here.

To give as many residents as possible a chance to speak, comments will be timed and limited to three minutes per person. All budget hearings will be streamed live on the County's website
