MEETING PREVIEW: Transportation Priority List, City Charter Amendment

A brief run down of what to expect at tonight's Bowie City Council meeting.

Tonight’s Bowie City Council meeting is the only one for the month of August so the agenda is packed.

There are 16 items on the consent agenda. The resolutions include accepting bids for some city building renovations projects, adopting the Sustainable Community Application and Action Plan and approving the detailed site plan for the Applebee’s in Bowie Gateway Center.

The council also will review a city transportation priority list prepared by the Department of Planning and Economic Development and receive an update from the Bowie Health Center.

There also will be public hearings on adopting the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Action Plan and amending the "express powers” section of the city charter.

The meeting will be held at 8 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at city hall. The full meeting agenda can be found online here.
