Last Chance: Artists Survey, Beautification and Youth Photography Contest

A few approaching deadlines you won't want to miss.

The City of Bowie’s Arts & Entertainment and Economic Development committees are asking local artists, performers and crafts persons to take a short survey for a potential Bowie Artists Directory and possible application to the State of Maryland seeking an Arts & Entertainment District.

The nine-question survey seeks information on the types of work Bowie artists are creating, where they create and show their work, the type of artist they are and any affiliations. The survey is open through June 18, 2012.

In partnership with Soroptimist International of Bowie-Crofton, the City of Bowie is accepting nominations for the 17th Annual City Beautification Awards. A house, townhouse, business, school or specialty garden – virtually anything that exemplifies the beauty of Bowie can be entered. Entries must be submitted to the City of Bowie website by June 22.
