Public Hearing on PG County Water Quality

Prince George's County will hold the first of three public forums on August 16 to gather input on how to improve the County's water quality. PG County, along with 22 other counties, is mandated by the State of Maryland to prepare a Watershed Implementation Plan by November 1. This plan will detail strategies and initiativies to reduce nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment loads to improve local streams and meet the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load Implementation. The hearing will be held in Suite 100 of the PG County Soil Conservation District. For more information on the plan, please contact Dr. Mow-Soung Cheng, Special Assistant to the Director, at 301-883-5836.
