A community meeting to discuss the possible replacement of a light pole at Allen Pond Park with a monopole for cellular communications equipment will take place in Room 243 of the new City Hall, located at 15901 Excalibur Road. The proposed monopole would be 123 feet high, which is 60 feet taller than the light pole it would replace, which is on the baseball field closest to Mitchellville Road and Northview Drive. Representatives from AT&T and the city government will be present. City Council is expected to make a decision regarding this matter on July 5.
