City of Bowie Holds Youth Photography Contest

Photographers ages six through 18 are encouraged to submit photos that reflect the theme, "Summer Blooms."

Young shutterbugs of Bowie are encouraged to enter the city’s 2012 photography contest, “Summer Blooms.”

Sponsored by the Bowie Arts Committee, children ages six through 18 can submit photos of flowers, gardens, plants, or images that suggest blooms. Creativity is encouraged!

Black and white or color photos sized 8” x 10” should be submitted at city hall by Friday, June 29. All photos must be printed on photo paper, should not be digitally altered, and must be accompanied by the entry form found online here.

Age divisions are youth, ages six through 12, and teens, ages 13 through 18. First place prizes are $100 and second place is $50. Winning photos will be displayed in the city hall during August.
