Looking for some green activities in Bowie?

Saturday's scheduled Weed Warrior workday for Whitemarsh Park has been rescheduled to Jan. 12 due to inclement weather, but Monday's presentation on trails and public transit in Bowie is still a go.

Monday's meeting is part of the Green Team's Community Climate Action Series, and will focus on using bikes and transportation as a way to help make the city more green.

Fred Shaffer from the M-NCPPC and Prince George's County Bicycle and Trails Advisory Group will attend the meeting to discuss future plans for Bowie's bike path and trail system. There will also be a representative from WMATA to discuss public transportation options in the city. A discussion will follow the presentations.

Monday's trails presentation will take place at 7 p.m. Monday in room 12a of the Kenhill Center. All are welcome.
