Bowie City Art Gallery Opens Two New Exhibits

Both exhibits are floral themed and can be viewed at city hall during business hours.

Wall flowers have never looked so lovely.

The Bowie City Hall is currently displaying two exhibits in its art gallery - Efflorescence and Summer Blooms.

The Summer Blooms exhibit, which will run through August 31, includes photographs of flowers, or floral representations taken by youth ages six through high school. Efflorescence is a juried art show for adults over 18 years of age and will run through September 28.

The exhibits open today, July 16, at the city hall art gallery and can be viewed by the public Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The shows are sponsored by the City of Bowie Arts Committee. For information on future shows, contact Arts Specialist Annette Esterheld at aesterheld@cityofbowie.org or 301-575-5601.
