Two Juveniles Charged with Robbery, Theft

No one was injured and the property was recovered, according to police.

Two students from Benjamin Tasker Middle School were charged with robbery and theft under $500 last Friday after allegedly stealing an iPhone 4S from one of their classmates, according to a police report.

Bowie Police responded to a call at Benjamin Tasker last Thursday where a suspect reported that after exiting the bus on Wednesday, he was approached by two boys who said they had a weapon and demanded his iPhone 4S. The victim surrendered his phone.

The victim told police that when the suspects observed a witness to the robbery, they dropped the phone and fled on foot. The victim identified the suspects as two fellow students at Benjamin Takser.

Police took the suspects into custody, charged them and released them to their respective guardians.
