Lanham House Fire Causes $100K in Damages

The fire struck the home around 7:15 a.m. Saturday morning.

Two adults and three cats were displaced after a Saturday fire in Lanham.

The fire started in the garage and then spread to part of the 2-story single family home in the 6800 block of Woodstream Drive, causing about $100,000 in damages Saturday morning, according to the Prince George's County Fire Department.

Firefighters determined the cause of the fire was accidental and there were no injuries reported.

The family of two adults and three cats were assisted by the American Red Cross, said the fire department.
