Traffic Stop in 'B' Section Leads to Arrest of Bowie Teen, Heroin and Marijuana Discovered

A 19-year-old was arrested after heroin, needles and marijuana were all found in his car after a traffic stop last week.

On March 24 around 4 p.m., the Bowie Police’s Direct Response Team made a traffic stop in the ‘B’ section at the intersection of Beaverdale and Belhurst lanes.

An investigation followed, discovering 7.5 grams of heroin—street-valued at $3,000—1 gram of marijuana, two needles and three used heroin capsules.

The driver of the car, 19-year-old John Al-Jazarwi—of the 16000 block of Artistry Place—was arrested at the scene. Jazarwi was charged with felony possession with intent to distribute, possession of heroin and marijuana and two counts of possession of paraphernalia.
