Teacher Collapses, Dies at Largo High School

The man died before classes started Friday.

Local media is reporting that a teacher collapsed at Largo High School Friday morning.

According to CBS DC, the man was working his first day substitute teaching at the Prince George's County high school. Around 7:45 a.m., before classes started he was walking in a stairwell with an administrator when he had a "medical emergency" and collapsed.

Paramedics tried to revive the man but were unsuccessful, CBS reported.

According to WJLA, he had been teaching in the system for 10 years.

Students were held in the first period class until the investigation was completed.
