Suspect Arrested By Metro Police Charged in 2007 Suitland Murder

Leumus Eric White has been charged in a 2007 murder in Prince George's County.

An arrest has been made in the 2007 murder of Taiwan Sadler, 31, of Maxwell Drive in Suitland, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

The suspect charged with first-degree murder has been identified as 36-year-old Leumus Eric White, who has no fixed address. 

On July 20, 2007, patrol officers were called to the 2300 block of Shadyside Avenue in Suitland for a shooting that stemmed from an argument. When they arrived, officers found Sadler suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died at a hospital.

Police said White fled the area after the shooting. Homicide detectives named White as the shooting suspect at the time and obtained an arrest warrant charging him with first-degree murder.

On March 21, 2014, White was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on unrelated charges. He has since been extradited to Prince George’s County and is being held without bond.
