Strong-Arm Robbery Near Longhorn Steakhouse Monday

A man was assaulted and robbed by three men in the restaurant parking lot.

Three men used brute force to rob a man Monday afternoon as he was leaving Longhorn Steakhouse at Bowie Town Center, according to police.

The victim told police that he was leaving the restaurant and headed to his car when he noticed the first suspect standing in the parking lot a few spaces away.

As the victim was getting into his vehicle, the first suspect approached him and said, “What’s up?” At the same time, a second suspect approached the victim from behind and put him in a choke hold.

The first suspect then began assaulting the victim, which caused the victim to drop his wallet, police said. Money fell out of the victim’s wallet, and the first suspect grabbed the cash and ran towards Sears.

Witnesses told police that they told saw a man matching the suspect’s description run across the parking lot and near City Hall. Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspects.

The victim was not injured in the incident, according to police.
