Rushern Baker's Son Charged With Driving on Suspended License
A state trooper discovered the suspension after pulling Baker's son over for speeding, The Washington Post reports.
Rushern L. Baker IV—son of Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III and a possible Democratic candidate for the House of Delegates—was charged with driving on a suspended license in May, The Washington Post reports.
According to the paper, Baker was stopped by a state trooper May 28 for driving over the speed limit on MD-4 near Ritchie Marlboro Road. He was reportedly traveling 69 mph in a 55 mph zone.
During the stop, the trooper discovered that Baker's license had been suspended after he failed to pay a 2011 speeding ticket from New Jersey, the Post writes.
Baker paid a $90 fee for speeding and is due to attend a driver training class. A court date has not yet been scheduled for the charge of driving on a suspended license, which can carry a fine up to $1,000 as much as a year in prison, according to the Post.
