Robbery Reported at Capital One Bank on High Bridge Rd.

A man dressed in women's clothing robbed the bank shortly after it opened August 7.

UPDATED Aug. 10

Bowie Police responded to a robbery at the Capital One Bank on High Bridge Rd. in Bowie just after 9 a.m. on August 7.

According to the police report, when the bank opened, a suspect described as a black man in his 30s wearing women’s clothing entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money. After receiving the money, the suspect fled on High Bridge Rd. on foot.

The perimeter was secured by Bowie Police, who also conducted a canvass of the area. A Prince George’s County K-9 unit also responded, but the suspect is still at large.

No injuries were reported.
