Police: Bowie Man Robbed at Gunpoint on Elder Oaks Boulevard
The 30-year-old man was the victim of an armed robbery outside the Meridian at Bowie.
A Bowie man was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of his housing complex, according to police.
The 30-year-old victim told police he was smoking a cigarette beside his car in the parking lot of the Meridian at Bowie apartment complex on Elder Oaks Boulevard. He was approached by a suspect who pulled out a black, revolver-style handgun and demanded the victim’s cash.
The victim handed over the money in his wallet, police said, and the suspect ran to the exit gate of the apartment complex where a black car was waiting for him. The suspect got into the passenger side of the car, and the vehicle fled towards Excalibur Road.
