Report: Bowie Teen Found Dead in Richmond
Christopher Smith, 19, was found dead under the Shockoe Valley Bridge early Friday morning.
A local teen was found dead beneath the Shockoe Valley Bridge in Richmond, VA early Friday morning, according to several media outlets.
Bowie resident Christopher Smith, 19, was found dead just after 2:30 a.m. on Friday, after police received a call that a man had fallen off the Shockoe Valley Bridge in Richmond, according to WTVR.com.
Preliminary police investigations revealed that Smith was riding in a car when he became involved in an argument with one or more of the vehicle occupants. The driver stopped the car on the Shockoe Valley Bridge, according to Police. Police said the driver and Smith both got out of the vehicle, and Smith fell off the bridge.
Smith's body was taken to the medical examiner's office where cause of death will be determined, reports WTVR.com. The incident is still under investigation by police.
Smith was a college student at Hampton University in Virginia.
