According to a release from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at 2:42 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, to a house fire in the 400 block of Old Line Avenue in Maryland City.

The first unit to arrive reported fire showing from the rear of the ranch-style dwelling with reports of one person trapped in the basement.
