Police Shut Down Troubled Temple Hills Nightclub

Prince George's County Police have shut down the Hangar Club in Temple Hills after a recent shooting there.

A Temple Hills nightclub that was the scene of a shooting a week ago has been closed by the Prince George's County Police Department.

The department's blog says officers issued a violation notice to the owners of Hangar Club ordering their business closed on June 27.

The Hangar Club is located in the 6400 block of Old Branch Avenue in Temple Hills. The business was reportedly operating without the required use and occupancy permit. It was also deemed an imminent danger to the safety and welfare of the public.

Two nightclub patrons were shot in the venue's parking lot about 12:30 a.m. on June 23, police said. Their injuries were said to be non-life threatening injuries. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

The Hangar Club will remain closed pending the outcome of an appeals hearing.
