Police Search for Driver in Fatal Collision; Speed Likely Cause

One passenger was thrown from a Ford Mustang and killed Thursday night, while a second passenger was injured. Prince George's County Police are searching for the car's driver.

Speed appears to have led to a fatal crash in Brandywine Thursday night, where one person was killed and another seriously injured as the driver fled the scene.

The Prince George's County Police Department is searching for the driver, who was seen running from the crash site. Police are searching for an African-American man, about 20 years old, 5’9” and 180 pounds.

Officers were called to the 16300 block of McKendree Road about 10:45 p.m. Thursday for a report of a single-car crash. Investigators believe the driver of a Ford Mustang was speeding eastbound on McKendree Road. The driver lost control of the car, which left the roadway, and struck a utility pole.
