Police: Three Men Arrested in Landover Copper Thefts

According to police, the men are linked with more than 130 burglaries.

Prince George’s County Police have arrested three men in who police say are linked to burglaries at two apartment complexes in Landover. 

According to police, Sean Wesley Sibley, 21, of the 800 block of Nalley Road along with 24-year-old Marlon Glenn of the 800 block of Nalley Road and 25-year-old Marco Samuel Howard of the 1100 block of Ivy Club Lane were arrested in a copper theft case. All three are from Landover. 

Sibley was charged with first-degree burglary, police reported, while the other two face third- and fourth-degree burglary and theft.

According to police, officers were called to an apartment complex on the 800 block of Warley Drive in Landover on the evening of June 12 for a report of 25 burglaries. Police said a burglar or burglars had stolen copper tubing from each unit; the copper was scrapped at a local business.

Police say the three men are also linked to 56 additional burglaries at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Attlee Way in Landover. There, according to police, they stole copper tubing and PVC fittings from the sprinkler systems of units. According to police, those burglaries caused more than $700,000 in water damages.

Two of the suspects were arrested on June 19; the other on June 16. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Regional Investigation Division – Central Region, at 301-772-4911.
