Juveniles Attempt Break-In Near Joppa, Silver Spring

A helicopter and K-9 unit responded to a burglary shortly after 7 p.m. on Jan. 10, police said.

Police, aided by a helicopter and K-9 unit, swarmed a Perry Hall neighborhood near Joppa and Silver Spring roads Tuesday evening after a reported burglary, police said.

Shortly after 7 p.m., a homeowner on the unit block of Spring Creek Way reported that three juveniles had attempted to cut open a side window screen, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct.

There was no entry and nothing was taken, Dorsey said.

A police helicopter and dogs assisted with the search for suspects, but no one was found or arrested, he said.

Did you notice the helicopter over the area? What do you do to defend your home against burglary? Tell us in the comments.

Sorry. I was being facetious in my comment above about the schools needing to teach kids not to steal. Guess I should have been more obvious.

Reds, agreed, end of story. I only took offense to your comment about gays and what appeared to me to be your insults to my intelligence. I love to have logical, rational discussions, about matters of all kinds, I just got annoyed at your tone. Let's see if in the future if we can discuss the policy and not the person. Agreed?

Glad you understand that part of being a bigot is the intolerance of another's political or moral beliefs. You more than qualify. Keep playing the race and bigotry card. Again your comments are completely off topic regarding this story

You folks have really gotten off topic. However, the schools do teach that if someone has worked hard for their property it does not matter. According to modern teaching, someone who does not have as much has a right to that property and the government will help them take it. Those who are impatient just take it themselves. The Courts teach them it is OK because most juveniles DO NOT serve time for their first few breaking and entries. After all, that could hurt their self-esteem. Wlcome to Maryland justice.

I was discussing policy all along and I have said nothing to insult your intelligence, you've done that to yourself quite nicely
