Wright and others told the TV station that Amos was hanging out with friends near a liquor store when he confronted a girl. An argument reportedly began, the young woman became angry and left. But, she allegedly returned with a group of men who beat Jones and then stabbed him multiple times in the chest and neck.

Police were called to the area for an assault before they found the victim, who was not identified. Authorities believe there may be more than one crime scene, police Cpl. Maria McKinney told the Post.

Police closed Silver Hill Road between Suitland and Swann roads during the investigation.
