Police Arrest Suspect in Vista Gardens Marketplace Cutting

A woman was sent to the hospital this morning after being cut by another woman at a shopping center in Lanham.

Police are investigating an incident that happened near the in Vista Gardens Marketplace in Lanham this morning after one woman was cut by another, sending her to the hospital, according to release from Prince George’s County Police.

Just after 9:45 a.m., police were called to the 10600 block of Martin Luther King Highway after the cutting was reported. Police arrived within minutes and were able to locate and arrest a suspect in the cutting. Corporal Larry Johnson also said that the woman had to be subdued by a taser before being placed under arrest.

The ages and names of those involved have not yet been released to the media. Police said there are no leads on the motive. The investigation is ongoing, Johnson said.

The victim was treated for her injuries at a nearby hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
