Pedestrian Struck In Bel Air Accident

A man was hit by a car on Emmorton Road Thursday evening.

A man was hit by a car on Emmorton Road Thursday, but police said the accident was minor.

The accident took place shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Route 924, or Emmorton Road, according to Maryland State Police with the Bel Air Barrack.

A man in his fifties was hit in the area of Burger King, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Fire and EMS Association. The man's injuries were minor, according to Gardiner.

No further details were available.

Its too dark too see pedestrians walking on the side of the road there....that and a sidewalk on that side of the road would be awesome for all the people that DO walk there. Hope the man is alright.

I've heard of a couple other people hit there over the last few years. They need to walk another 200 ft down to the intersection at the light and use the crosswalk. We can't put lights and a crosswalk everywhere people want to cross. It's laziness. Use whats already there!
