Cyclist Robbed at Gunpoint on Parkington Lane

The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Original Story, 5:32 p.m., July 30: 
A man riding his bike was punched in the face and robbed at gunpoint on Parkington Lane in Bowie early Sunday morning, according to a police report. 

According to Bowie police, the man and two of his friends were riding their bikes at around 1 a.m. Sunday when a silver sedan approached.

The victim told police that the suspects—four men and one woman—got out of the car. One of the men hit the victim in the face and demanded his valuables while a second man brandished an unknown caliber black handgun.

The suspects took a black mountain bike and an iPhone with a pink case from the victim, got back in the car and fled in an unknown direction. Police searched the area and were unable to find the suspects. 

The victim's face was bruised as a result of the attack. The investigation is ongoing.
