Man Arrested, Charged for Breaking into Grandfather's Home

Robert Lee Willig, Jr. has been charged with theft and burglary for breaking into his grandfather's home on Lyn Place.

Bowie police have arrested a 27-year-old man on multiple charges related to breaking and entering, according to a police report.

The Bowie police gave this account:

An 84-year-old Bowie resident called police on Nov. 23 to report that his grandson, Robert Lee Willig Jr., had enter the victim’s home on Lyn Place without permission. The victim also told police that Willing stole and chased checks that belonged to the victim.

According to the victim, Willig, whose address was not listed in the police report, allegedly also tried to force his way into the home on Lyn Place on another occasion, but was unsuccessful.

Bowie police obtained an arrest warrant for Willig for theft and burglary charges. Police located Willig, placed him under arrest and charged him accordingly.
