Free Car Seat Safety Check in Bowie Saturday

Make sure your kids are buckled in safely this weekend by stopping by the Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union at 15201 Hall Rd. in Bowie for a free car seat safety check on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Car seat safety technicians will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to check car seats and booster seats for proper installation, recalls and to ensure that the proper seats are being used for each child, according to Prince George’s County Police, who are co-sponsoring the event.

The safety check takes about 30 minutes and the credit union will replace the first five seats that have been recalled or are determined to be otherwise unsafe. Appointments are not necessary, but the technicians request that accompanying manuals be brought to the check if possible.
