Felony Theft Suspect Arrested in Bowie

The Prince George's Sheriff's Office arrested a Bowie man on a warrant for a felony theft scheme.

A felony theft suspect from Bowie was arrested by Prince George's deputies on April 19.

According to court records, police issued a warrant for Charles Stephen Dawson, of Prince Wales Court, on charges related to a felony theft scheme on April 3.

Dawson, 48, was indicted by a county grand jury on charges of a theft scheme, conspiracy to commit theft scheme and forgery of private documents, the sheriff's office reported. According to officials, the crimes were committed over a four-month period between Dec. 30, 2011 and April 20, 2012.

Deputies found Dawson in Bowie on April 19 and took him into custody, the sheriff's office reported. He was transported to the county's department of corrections and charged.
