Bowie Teen Faces Charges of Theft, Fraud

The suspect is accused of stealing a credit card from one of her teachers and making fraudulent charges on the account.


A student from Bowie High School is being charged with theft and fraud for allegedly stealing a credit card from her teacher.

Police said the victim reported that he'd had a credit card stolen from his wallet on two separate occasions while teaching at Bowie High School.

He told police there were fraudulent transactions on the card from six Bowie area retails stores. Police were able to retrieve a surveillance video from one of the stores and the suspect was identified as a student at Bowie High.

Police interviewed the suspect, and she admitted to fraudulently using the victim’s card at several locations. The suspect is facing two theft charges and eight fraud charges with the Department of Juvenile Services.
