Bowie Police Investigate Possible Hate Crime

Offensive graffiti was discovered at St. Pius X Regional School on Monday.

The Bowie Police Department increased patrols around after offensive graffiti was discovered Monday.

The graffiti appeared on some storage buildings and the incident is being investigated as a hate crime, according to a release from the city. The department’s community services officer reportedly met with school officials about the incident.

The release states, "The takes these types of crimes very seriously and denounces this act of vandalism as malicious and hurtful."
