Bowie Man Dies in Street Racing Accident

A report says a second driver suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and eight bus passengers were injured.

UPDATE (9:11 a.m.)—Cleon Wills of Bowie died Friday night after his Mercedes crashed into the side of a Metro bus during an illegal street race, according to Myfoxdc.com.

According to police, Wills, 22, and a friend were racing down Central Avenue in Seat Pleasant when the accident occurred. The driver of the second vehicle, also a Mercedes, collided with a traffic sign in the median and was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, reported Myfoxdc.com.

Eight bus passengers were also reportedly injured in the accident.
