Bowie Man Charged With Theft in Charles Co.

Joseph Alexander Freeman, 52, has been charged with the theft of aluminum stands and pipes from a Charles County grocery store.

A Bowie man has been arrested and charged with theft in Charles County after allegedly stealing several aluminum stands and pieces of aluminum pipe from a grocery store parking lot, reports WUSA9.

Charles County Sheriff’s officers witnessed Joseph Alexander Freeman, 52, loading aluminum stands from from a grocery cart return into his van on Aug. 16 at the Smallwood Shopping Center and then driving away from the parking lot, according to WUSA9.

According to authorities, the officers stopped Freeman and searched his vehicle, finding the stands and pieces of aluminum pipe that had been stolen from the store a day earlier. He was arrested and charged with theft.
