Bowie Man Charged In Two More Sex Abuse Cases

Investigation into Bowie resident Michael Brochu leads to additional charges.

A Bowie man charged on Aug. 3 with the alleged sexual abuse of an 8-year-old boy has now been charged in two additional cases, according to Prince George’s County Police.

between Sept. 1, 2011 and July 31, 2012. According to police, the alleged abuse took place in Brochu’s home on Croyden Ln. while he had temporary supervision of the victim.

The subsequent police investigation has revealed two more alleged sexual abuse victims. According to PGPD, Brochu is being charged with sex abuse of a minor, third degree sex offense and second degree assault for allegedly abusing a 10-year-old boy between April 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012, while the victim, a family friend, was visiting Brochu.

Brochu also is being charged with sex abuse of a minor and third degree sex offense for allegedly abusing a 6-year-old family member at a pool in Bowie, according to police.

PGPD spokesperson Cpl. Larry Johnson said that to the best of his knowledge Brochu remains free on bond.
