Bowie Man Allegedly Robbed at Gunpoint in Fenwick Island
Police believe suspect and victim were acquaintances.
A Bowie man walking along Coastal Highway was allegedly robbed at gunpoint June 9.
According to a Delaware State Police report, a 20-year-old man from Bowie was traveling on foot on Coast Highway near Virginia Avenue in the beach town of Fenwick Island, DE at 2 a.m. on June 9, when he was approached by Kamar Barratt. Barratt allegedly brandished a handgun while demanding money from the Bowie man, police said.
The victim turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, and then Barratt fled the scene, police said. Police believe that Barratt and the victim were acquainted with one another.

Barratt, described as a black male, approximately 6’ 2”, with black hair and brown eyes and weighing 200 pounds has been charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
