One Injured in Rt. 50 Crash

The crash occurred on eastbound Rt. 50 on the MD 197 offramp, according to the Prince George's County Fire Department.

Update, 6:55 p.m.: A man in his 30s sustained serious but not life threatening injuries after his vehicle overturned on the MD 197 ramp on eastbound Rt. 50 Tuesday evening, according to Prince George's County Fire Department spokesperson Mark Brady.  

The man was trapped in his vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes before being freed by emergency response personnel and sent to a nearby trauma center, said Brady. There was no passenger in the vehicle, Brady said there were no other vehicles involved in the crash and no other injuries reported.

Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD) is on the scene of a car accident in Bowie involving at least one vehicle on eastbound Rt. 50, according to PGFD spokesperson Mark Brady.

The crash occurred on the MD 197 ramp on eastbound Rt. 50, said Brady.

One person is still trapped in the car, which is off the road, and emergency response personnel are searching for another person that was reportedly ejected from the vehicle, said Brady.

The extent of the injuries of crash victims was unknown at the time of publishing.
