Arrest Made in 2012 Murder of Prince George's County Man

A Northeast Washington man was charged with first-degree murder March 13 for the 2012 murder of an Oxon Hill man.

A Washington, D.C., man was arrested Thursday in the 2012 murder of 31-year-old Jearmar Oswald Lee of the 700 block of Neptune Avenue in Oxon Hill.

Prince George’s County Police have charged Deandre Cornelius Jenkins, 24, of the 5200 block of Karl Place in Northeast Washington with first-degree murder.

Patrol officers were called to the 700 block of Neptune Avenue for a shooting on the evening of Dec. 20, 2012. They found Lee suffering from an apparent gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Lee was shot and killed during an armed robbery, authorities said. Two other suspects – Jason Deon Jones, 22, of Oxon Hill and Steven Bly, 24, of the 1800 block of Frederick Douglas Place in Southeast, Washington -- were arrested shortly after the murder.

Jenkins was arrested at his home and is in custody in the District awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
