So many things are going on in the world that are tugging at people's hearts. It's easy to get side-tracked and pulled into conversations that ultimately are destructive. We are in a budget crisis, wars are going on all around us, people are losing jobs and/or being furloughed, and so much more. Oh, and let us not forget about the lies that are being told, especially the lies about God's servants. But, as believers in Christ we have to stay focused on God's Word.
Isaiah 54:17 comforts us by these words, ""No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord." I know that many Christians are hurting right now. I know that many people are in compromising positions because they are trying to "make ends meet". I encourage you to be patient and wait on God because He has not forgotten about you. Now is the time for us to have more compassion and offer heart-felt prayers. Now is the time for us to keep each other encouraged and to just lend a helping hand when we can. Do you remember the lyrics, "Reach out and touch somebody's hand make this world a better place if you can?" Repeat that verse three times in your mind. Now let it resonate into your heart and ask God to show you who you can help even during your challenging times. Have unmovable faith in God. Keep pressing, keep believing, and keep God's Word close in your heart. Got faith?
Now that's a word!
