Mayor Robinson Thanks Residents, Patch for Civic Paticipation

Mayor Robinson also congratulations his fellow council members on their reelections.

On behalf of all my colleagues on the Bowie City Council I would like to thank all those city residents that came out to the polls this past Tuesday to vote in the city election. Thank you all. Your support and participation in the city's progress is indeed noted and appreciated. You have heard me brag on many ocassions how proud we are of "the strongest, most diverse, most family friendly community in the region". Bowie folks are the greatest. Thanks to all that participated.

It is also necessary to extend deep appreciation to the editor and staff of the "Bowie Patch" for their commitment to factual reporting and community participation. Although some local media outlets apparently chose not to engage in the effort to report about the various campaigns, the differing views that always attend elections and the free expression of pubic opinion "Bowie Patch" was engaged and did a fine job. Thank you all.

Thanks as well to my colleagues that will be returning to Council. They are a great team that understands that Bowie is a great community with an unlimited future. While we may sometimes disagree on issues, there has never been a doubt in my mind that all my colleagues are committed to the growth and future of our great community. Congratulations on again earning the respect and trust of our neighbors. I am looking forward to continuing our journey to the future together.

G. Frederick Robinson
Mayor
