Voice of Bowie's Business Community Endorses Question 7

In a letter to the editor, the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce announces their support of the controversial ballot question.

The letter to the editor was submitted on behalf of the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) by Kelly Pierce, executive director of GBCC. Len Lucci is the current GBCC president.

The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) hereby announces its support of Question 7 on the November 6 ballot for the construction of an entertainment, retail and hotel resort at Prince George’s County’s National Harbor.

The GBCC believes this resort will provide expansive construction and contracting opportunities for county-based businesses, along with building the commercial tax base that is sorely needed in the jurisdiction. This resort, along with the Tanger project, will make National Harbor the regional attraction for conventions, tourism and entertainment.

GBCC President Len Lucchi and Legislative Committee Chair Craig Muckle congratulate the efforts of County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III and District 4 County Council Member Ingrid M. Turner for their position on this important issue. The GBCC looks forward to working with our county and state officials in the future to continue to make Prince George’s County great.

Remember to vote on November 6 and support Question 7. Thank you.
