Get Out: An Air Show and Tons of Family Fun

Patch pulls together a few events happening around town this week.

The big event this weekend is without a doubt the at Andrews Air Force Base. Watch the Blue Angels take to the sky, or check out the Golden Knights parachute demonstration team. There will also be several military exhibits on display. The event is open on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free to the public.

If flora and fauna are more your style, check out the . The tour is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and begins at All Saints Lutheran Church. Check out the wildlife habitats your neighbors have created in their own backyards. The tour is free to the public.

Looking for family fun, and maybe a preschool for your youngest? Check out the . The event will feature food and games and is open to all current, past, and future nursery school attendees and their friends and family. The celebration is on Saturday, May 19 from noon to 4 p.m. and is free, though donations are welcome and tax deductible.

There’s even more family fun to be had on Sunday, May 20, when the City of Bowie celebrates its . Pony rides, model trains and more at several locations throughout the city. The event is free and start times vary.
