Baysox Host National Anthem Auditions

When/Where: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Prince George's Stadium, 4101 Crain Highway

Why Go? Your chance to sing in front of a crowd has arrived! Those selected will have the opportunity to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" before a game this season.

When/Where: 8 p.m. on Friday; 3 p.m. on Saturday at Bowie Playhouse at

Why Go? The final performance is on Saturday afternoon and Patch reader left the comment that it's "another great show at the close by Bowie Playhouse."

Cost: $20 general admission, $17 for seniors (60 and older) and full-time students

Why Go? Learn about taking Spanish and Chinese classes, designed for kids ages 3 to 11. There will be free refreshments and a drawing for a $100 credit for a summer camp of your choice from Language Advantage.

When/Where: 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary and Visitor's Center, 11704 Fenno Rd., Upper Marlboro

Why Go? Upper Marlboro has one of the most diverse bird populations in Maryland. Join a naturalist in learning about creatures of the night. This program will be held outdoors, so dress appropriately. All ages welcome.

Why Go? This program is open to everyone interested in learning more about the Jewish holiday of Passover. Learn how to select a haggadah, set the table, the basics of the Passover story and the overall flow of the Seder.
